We’ve got message from President of FAI Ballooning Commission Jean-Claude Webber who, among other things, says:
“The Bureau has recently approved the Sporting Code – Section One changes required to sanction and to organize the 1st Junior World Hot Air Balloon Championship. The decision will have to be confirmed by the 2012 CIA Plenary Meeting, but in the meantime it will allow you to move forward with the event organization.”

We are glad to inform you that during FAI annual meeting in Japan on 12th March 2011 FAI Junior hot air balloon category has been established. We are planning to organize 2012 FAI Junior Hot Air Balloon World Championship in Marijampole (Lithuania). This is why we are organizing Test-Event in Marijampole on 27-29th May 2011.
Full title of the event is International Hot Air Balloon Competition Marijampole Cup 2011[/], Open Lithuanian Junior Hot Air Balloon Championship.
